From the courts

BNA Carnival

Congratulations to our teams that played in the carnival. Wavell Waves Intermediate Division 1 won their division undefeated.
Our Wavell Wolves Division 2 team was put in Division 1 and came 3rd equal, well done ladies.
A big thank you to the parents that were there at 6am to set up for BNA and our teams, our players that gave it their best and the umpires that gave up their Sunday so the girls could play netball. Also to all the supporters who came along to cheer our teams on. It was a huge day and everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Semi Finals

We had 5 teams playing on Saturday and everyone should be very proud of their efforts. There was some great netball played.
Warriors (Open Div 3) and Watermelons (Junior Div 3) both had exciting games but unfortunately came away without a win so are not through to the next round.
Wildcats (Junior Div 2) won their game and play again on Saturday for a place in the Grand Final.
Wolves (Open Div 2) unfortunately lost their game but get a second chance on Saturday.
Whiplash (Inters Div 1) won their game and are straight through to the grand final.

Good luck to our teams playing on Saturday.

Club Person of the Year

Wavell Netball Club is holding the first "Club Person of the Year". The purpose of this award is to acknowledge outstanding individuals who have shown dedication, commitment and made a significant contribution to netball in our Club.

Nominations close 11th August 2017 and must be submitted to the Wavell Netball Secretary at wavellnetball@gmail.com

Umpire Beginners Training

The next BNA Beginner Umpires’ Course will be held on the following dates and times:

Week 1 – Wednesday 9th August 5.00 to 6.00 pm.
Week 2 – Wednesday 16th August 5.00 to 6.00 pm.
Week 3 – Wednesday 23rd August 5.00 to 6.00 pm.
Practical sessions will be held when Summer season commences October 3rd onwards
Cost: $75.00 (includes AANA Rule Book and whistle)
Age: Candidates MUST be 13
Registration form and payment to be received no later than 5th August 2017
