Self-lay newsflash: charging changes

Rob Hughes, Self-Lay Programme Manager
Dear <<First Name>>,

I know I only wrote to you last week - this is just a quick note to let you know about an opportunity to have your say on upcoming changes to how we charge for new connections.

All the best,
Rob Hughes, Self-Lay Programme Manager

Charging: what's happening?

Ofwat is asking all water and wastewater companies to introduce a new connections charging framework, effective from April 2018.

There will more fixed, published fees for connection services rather than bespoke prices on application. The aim is to make charging more stable, fair and transparent.

The scope of the changes includes service connections and mains requisitions, as well as income offsets, asset payments and infrastructure charges.

How to comment.

You can find our proposal explaining the changes, and how we might implement them, on our New Connections Charging webpage.

Please submit any feedback you have to keyaccounts.strategicpartnering@thameswater.co.uk by Friday 18 August 2017.

Have your say.
