The Hawai‘i Council for the Humanities and the Chaminade History Center in association with the Hawai‘i World War One Centennial Task Force present a teacher workshop and a day of historical primary sources, various topics such as why and how the United States entered World War I, transformations in gender, race and relations between citizen and state, and case studies in understanding World War I through primary sources etc. This workshop will also go over classroom techniques on teaching about World War I and it's impact on the United States and in Hawai‘i.

National History Day Online Graduate Courses Available!
National History Day has a full range of online graduate courses for middle and high school educators who to implement our project based curriculum into their classrooms using framework of the National History Day Contest.
All National History Day courses provide practical advice as well as pedagogical strategies.
Along with creating classroom-ready materials customized to the needs of their students, participants also have the options of earning a certificate of professional development hours or (for an additional cost) graduate credits from the University of San Diego.
These online courses are designed to allow participants to work on independently-paced modules with pre-set deadlines. This allows completion at any pace, any time of day, from anywhere in the world.
