Pleasure is a Weapon

Pleasure is a Weapon is the first UK solo exhibition by artist Susie Green. Working in a range of media across sculpture, performance and painting, this presentation celebrates the body as a site for pleasure and politics. The exhibition will be punctuated with a public programme of performances, screenings and conversations.

OPEN STUDIOS
Unit 15

We invite you to meet our new studio members at an Open Studios event this coming Digbeth First Friday on 1 September.

We are delighted to welcome artists and curators Amelia Beavis-Harrison, Aly Grimes, Emily Hawes, Sarah Taylor Silverwood and Sophie Huckfield.

Also, for the next year we welcome Birmingham City University graduates in residence: David Poole, Larissa Shaw, Nuala Clooney and Maral Mamaghani.

We wish them all the best and hope they have an enjoyable and productive time as part of the Grand Union family.

NAM TRAN 
at Modern Clay

Modern Clay will open for Digbeth First Friday  with live demonstrations from Nam Tran.

Nam Tran is an award-winning practitioner who has lectured and delivered workshops internationally. Tran's work focused primarily on exploring the physical properties of clay and material experimentation is a strong characteristic of his work.

Opens Friday 1 September, 6–8pm

Nam Tran will also be leading workshops at Modern Clay on Saturday 2 September.
