Just a reminder that LTC Meredith and the Iron Rangers will be holding The Regimental Room Re-dedication ceremony at the 1st Battalion headquarters at Fort Riley at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, 23 August 2017. The event is one of many during the 1st Infantry Division’s Victory Week celebrations at Fort Riley. This year’s Victory Week (21-25 August) celebrations include, among other things, the remembrance of the 100th birthday of the US Army’s best and oldest division (the division HQ was in Iraq on 8 June), a Vietnam Veteran’s Welcome Home ceremony, and of course the re-dedication at the 1st Battalion. The Vietnam Veteran’s Welcome Home ceremony will also be held on 23 August at 2:45 p.m.

Please consider attending the events, especially the re-dedication ceremony. It should be relatively easy for you Rangers from Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma to be there. 

Let me know if you plan to attend. If we have enough folks, I can arrange to open a CP on Tuesday evening before the re-dedication at the Courtyard by Marriot Hotel in Junction City where we normally stay and we can all share in the well-earned camaraderie of the US Army’s greatest regiment.
