Access to Headington update

4 August 2017

Work on The Slade for the Access to Headington project is progressing well.

The team are currently working on phase 3 (between Cinnaminta Road and the mini roundabout at Hollow Way) whilst also finishing phase 2 (between Peat Moors and Cinnaminta Road). The work continues as before, with the conconstruction of a new cycle way separate from the footway and the road and the drainage also being replaced.

The pedestrian crossing at Dene Road is closed this week and a temporary crossing installed. This is to accommodate work to a new crossing which, once complete, will mark the completion of phase 2.

The side of The Slade where the work is currently happening is scheduled to be complete in early September when we will then be looking to begin work on the Wood Farm side of the road.

Residents are being kept informed of the work taking place outside of their properties and we will continue to do this for the duration of the scheme.
