Frank & Harding Street Project Update
|
|
Neighbors, Here is an update on the East Mordecai water & sewer project: Progress so far: 💧The new sewer main on Frank Street has been completed. 💧The new water main on Frank Street will be completed this coming Monday 💧The existing water & sewer mains in this corridor are very old. This caused some delays in June/July as elevations on existing service lines caused slow production. 💧The additional sidewalk and paving work near the intersection of Brookside Drive and Frank Street is complete. Upcoming work: 💧The contractor anticipates connecting the new Frank Street water main to the water main in Wake Forest Road on Monday, August 21. 💧Water and sewer service transitions will begin next week. Customers will be notified at least 48 hours prior to a service outage. (or whatever the appropriate notification period is) 💧Final Restoration + Asphalt paving on Frank Street from Norris Street to Wake Forest Road 💧The contractor anticipates being complete with Frank Street on 8/30/17, due to unforeseen delays experienced in June/July. From there, they will transition to Harding Street. As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have; and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation with us during construction. -Regards Louis Bennett Project Engineer II City of Raleigh Public Utilities Department Phone (919) 996-3504 Fax (919) 996-7567 Louis.Bennett@raleighnc.gov
