GREG NEEDS CHURCHES!
Before getting to the news about Crossing Cambodia I need to ask for your help. In another week I will be heading back to the US on a solo fundraising trip. Originally I was planning to spend several weeks in Texas but because of Tropical Storm Harvey I've had to cancel several appointments and as a result I've only got 2 confirmed church visits out of 5 Sundays in the US.
With short notice and Hurricane Irma dominating national attention right now it's proving very difficult to get new appointments lined up. If ANYONE is willing to have me come visit their church, share, and seek support for our ministry I will make a definite effort to get out to where you are!
This is perhaps a big opportunity to help us without committing a large sum financially! If you are a pastor would you be willing to let me share on a Sunday morning at your church and take a door offering? If you are not a pastor what I need is a personal introduction from you to your pastor or mission committee. Its incredibly difficult to get my foot in the door with new churches and even more so on short notice so it really does take the help of someone already a part of that church.
If I can't line up a couple more churches for visits I will likely have to cut my trip short in order to avoid this trip posing a loss to our ministry, even then I'll need to pay a penalty to change my plane tickets. So any leads or contacts are greatly appreciated.

Back to School
Has it already been 4 years? In August of 2013 we enrolled a handful of street children in school. Now over 4 years later we have 25 children that we care for in preschool all the way up through grade 5! It is a huge testament to God's provision that we've made it this far and get to see how these children are growing up and how He continues to work in their lives and the lives of their families. Sponsoring children to attend school has become the cornerstone of our ministry as it enables us to care for these children and seek out personal opportunities to share the Love of Christ with them daily. It is through these close relationships that we hope that one day they will come to know who Christ really is.
We ask your prayers as we embark on another year of school. That the children we work with will continue to see the benefits of going to school and that our staff will have many opportunities to share the Love of Christ with these kids.
TRIP TO THE BEACH
So every year that we have been serving these children we've taken them on a trip as a reward when they successfully pass their grade levels. It originally started as desperate attempt to bribe kids into staying in school, its turned into a tradition that our staff and children look forward to every year now.
This year we went to the beach in Sihanoukville for 3 days. For many of the kids it was their first time to see the sea and they gleefully ate seafood and played on the sand. This trip is lots of fun, but it also is part of our ongoing mission to care for and love these children like a family. Because it is through the loving relationships and joyful memories that we have opportunities to share the Gospel message with these children!

Working Towards a Farm
At present we are hard at work trying to develop a farm ministry. Over the next several years we are hoping to raise $30k for development of the farm and an additional $60k to possibly make the farm into a permanent home for Crossing Cambodia!
