Conversation:
Is There a Christian or Spiritual Response
to Charlottesville?
This Sunday, August 20,
from 10:45 a.m. to noon
in the Social Hall
at St. Mark's United Methodist Church
In the days since last weekend's events in Charlottesville, Virginia, much has been spoken and written about racial attitudes and expectations. We have heard repeated use of the terms "racism," "white supremacy," and "white privilege." What role, if any, does our faith play in our response to what we've seen and heard?
This Sunday from 10:45 a.m. to noon in the social hall, Rev. Craig, Rev. Jeri, and Dick Prince (a graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville) will facilitate a conversation centered on the ethical and moral dimensions of these issues. We hope you can join in, and we hope you will invite your friends and neighbors.
All are invited.
