Armadale Writers' Award - 2017
This new creative writing competition is open to adult amateur writers living in Western Australia. Works must be original prose, and stories should have a 1000 - 4000 word count. 
 
The prizes are:      1st prize   $1000
                                2nd prize  $750
                                3rd prize   $500
 
The Armadale Writers’ Award will run from 1 to 30 September 2017, and entries will only be accepted during this time.

This writing workshop for adults, will consist of a series of short writing exercises, focusing on using language that's evocative and engaging, and cover the importance of voice, character and structure of a story.

Captain Underpants - The First Epic Movie
Visit the City of Armadale Libraries from 4 - 29 September and look for the Captain Underpants display for colouring-in and activity sheets, and a chance to enter the draw to win some fabulous Captain Underpants related prizes. The film is based on the best selling book series, available from our libraries.

Captain Underpants opens in cinemas 21 September.
