Weta Custom Hull Colours Available
Choose from any one of the stock colours from the colour chart or you can choose a custom colour. Production will take about 3 months vs 1-2 months for standard light grey Wetas. Darker colours such as black and dark red are not really suitable as these colours fade quickly especially if not under cover. Custom colours add US$200-500 to the cost per boat depending on quantity and colour. Contact your nearest dealer to pre-order.

2017 Weta Nationals Regatta Report - Hot Donutz Edition
The Columbia River Gorge in Oregon delivered BIG for the 2017 Weta Nationals, with sustained winds between 22-30 knots over 3 days of glorious racing. Competitors came from Florida, North Carolina, Cali, and Washington for fun, camaraderie, and to prove who could best handle the Gorge beast. Lying in wait were two local collegiate sailors from the Gorge, wondering how could any of these 50-somethings handle the Gorge at its finest, let alone compete with them. So what if one of them was a world class A cat sailor and East Coast Wetafest Champion, another a prior National Champion, and something called a Hot Donut? Let the games begin!

2017 Weta Nationals Gusts the Gorge - Stephanie Taylor
2017 Weta Nationals at Cascade Locks, Oregon July 28-30 was like no other we've experienced before. Sustained winds were 20-24 knots with a top recorded gust of 40. This combined with shiftiness as wind funneled over the mountains on each side of the river made for some extremely exciting conditions.

Santa Cruz "Weta Kickoff"
Since everyone else is getting ready or already heading to the Gorge for the Weta Nationals, I thought I’d write up the Santa Cruz Weta Kickoff (okay, Hobie Kickoff, but we were a sizable fleet) which took place last weekend. I promise not to use any dog, cat or donuts raining from the sky references. One week prior to the event, the race area, which lies (or lay) within the red triangle, was closed due to a Great White chomping. Great Whites were indeed, chomping on kayaks and paddleboarders up and down the coast of California.

2017 Huntington Highlights
Last weekend 6 Wetas convened on Huntington Lake, 7000 feet up on the western side of the Sierras, outside of Fresno, California. We had a great weekend of racing as part of the Fresno Yacht Club's Commodore's Open Classic regatta. In years past, when there was water in the lake, we've had a Weta fleet of 12 to 15 boats. After a few dry years, were down a few participants but we hope to reverse this trend.

Para Sailing Seat Update - Weta UK
This is where we are now with the latest seats – we have 4 types with 4 types of fitting. This seat is what sailors have asked for and is great as a club boat seat. It allows one or two crew – one sitting and one able bodied crew/coach or instructor. The grab hole at the top of the seat makes it easy to cross from side to side. Steering is built into seat but can be easily removed.
