Welcome Back Luncheon
On Sunday, August 27 CUMC will host its annual covered-dish luncheon to welcome back our college students and kick off the semester. The lunch will be held in the Christian Life Center immediately following The Vine and 11:00am services. Clemson Wesley will provide fried chicken. Church members are asked to bring a generous side dish and/or dessert. If you are willing to help with setup or clean up please contact Pastor Steve steve@clemsonumc.org. Come join us for this great celebration!

The Seekers Sunday School class will not meet in August. Classes will resume on September 3 in room 104 of the office building.

Craft Christianity
Announcing a small group for adults on Thursday evenings at 6pm beginning on September 7. This group will meet at Elkmont Tap and Cellar, 100 Liberty Drive, Clemson (less than one mile from the CUMC campus). Childcare will be provided at the church, Come join other adults for a weekly discussion on what it means to be followers of Jesus in our particular time and place. There is no preparation necessary to participate in this group!

Wild Wednesday Each Week - Meet at Peppino's at 6:30pm
This evening we are doing an Ice Cream Social at Clemson First Baptist in Dowtown (across the street from Peppino's). We will meet at Peppino's at our normal time of 6:30pm. This will be our final Wild Wednesday of the year.

Family Open House - Sunday, August 27 from 5-6:30pm
We will have an Open House for parents & youth alike on Sunday, August 27. There will be handouts with the dates of future retreats and events, as well as the best-est team of Small Group Leaders EVER for you to get to know. We will spend time looking ahead at the coming school year and discuss our goals and themes for the year. We are so excited for what's to come!

Clemson Community Care has been experiencing a higher than normal request for food from the clients in our area. We are completely out of several food items and have a very low inventory on many others. Please help us stock our shelves with the following items: powdered milk, flour, cornmeal, juice, soup, canned vegetables (with the exception of green beans) and dry spaghetti noodles. We will really
appreciate any and all donations! Here at CUMC you may leave your donations for CCC in the large wicker bin in the Narthex of the Worship Center.
