Time to get in the mood for This is Not Art 2017 and celebrate the success of Critical Animals 2016 with a double launch event!

Pick up a copy of the Critical Animals 2016 Catalogue which showcases some of the most exciting emerging contemporary artists from around Australia.

You’ll also get your first look at the full This is Not Art 2017 program of over 150 events packed into 4 days over 1 long weekend!

FREE event. All welcome. 6-8pm at Newcastle University Gallery, Callaghan campus. 31 August.

With the festival just 6 weeks away, now is the time to book your flights and accommodation, if you haven't already done so!

This is Not Art celebrates Newcastle as a creative city and we invite you to spend the October long weekend with us!

Did you know that Newcastle is the only regional Australian city flanked by both a beach and working harbour waterfront?

Newcastle is only a one hour direct flight from the Gold Coast, Brisbane or Melbourne, making coming to This is Not Art easy!

The best place to start planning your trip is the official tourism website for Newcastle www.visitnewcastle.com.au

You may have heard that Newcastle will be hosting the Supercars event in November. The city is busy with construction work and this will affect travel within the city during the festival period. The best source of information about supercars, road closures and any other local queries is on The City of Newcastle website.
