It's Fido's turn for a swim at Bark n' Splash Bash, Lakewood's annual end of summer event! Bring your pooch for a swim from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. August 12 and 13 at Morse Park Pool, or 10 a.m.-2 p.m. August 27 at Carmody Outdoor Pool. Preregistration cost is $5, day of event $10. People are not allowed in the water with the dogs.

Celebrate the end of summer with a FREE Party on the Plaza, 4-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 18 at Civic Center Plaza, 480 S. Allison Parkway. Lakewood residents, friends, family and neighbors are invited to enjoy live music, food trucks, circus performers and buskers, along with a cash bar selection including beer and wine. First 100 attendees will get $10 in Food Truck Bucks!

Runners ages 14+ up are invited to lace up their shoes and join us for a fall run in Bear Creek Lake Park! Lakewood’s popular Trail Running series returns in September, with a race each Wednesday of the month. Run one, two, three or all four! Races vary in distance from four to nine miles. Register by September 1 for the lowest series price.
