K-12 PROFILE:
Greenbusch has served as the Mechanical Engineer for projects at over 40 public school facilities, and provided Acoustical and Audio/Video designs for hundreds of K-12 schools across Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Montana.

Our resume includes projects with:
Salish Middle School, North Thurston Public School District’s fifth middle school opened September 2016. This two-story school was designed to meet the needs for long-term space flexibility and functionality.
Greenbusch Group provided Acoustical and Audio-Video designs for this 106,000 SF school designed by BCRA Architects. Prominent is the Commons, an expansive, central gathering space that forms the heart of the school. A large screen and projection system with acoustical panels is featured. Challenges included designing for intelligibility in this 7,500 SF, two-story volume as well as configuring the audio-video system to function collaboratively with the natural light that streams through floor to ceiling glazing.
Greenbusch Group designed acoustical treatments for each of the unique music environments located in separate rooms:  Orchestra, Band and Choir.

Consultants Julie Wiebusch, INCE and John Greenlaw, PE co-presented “Acoustics in the K-12 Learning Environment” to Seattle Public Schools on June 14th. Their presentation discussed audibility and intelligibility, and their roles in classroom acoustics and designing mechanical systems that support good listening conditions.
Greenbusch provides technical expertise in acoustical engineering, audio/video consulting, mechanical engineering, vertical transportation design and commissioning services.
