Theme: “Relying on God’s Love”
Scripture: Genesis 37:1-4, 18-28

Our theme this Sunday, “Relying on God’s Love,” brings us the opportunity to welcome visitors from other communities of faith. For this Sunday, I am excited to announce that we will have two guests to speak with us, Rabbi Jack Paskoff of Congregation Shaarai Shomayim and Asheq Fazlullah of the Lancaster Islamic Community Center. We will have each of them talk about their own experience of what it means to be a Jewish community and a Muslim community. This will be our opportunity to look at our definition of Christian community from a different perspective, so I encourage you to pay careful attention to what is similar in our practices as Disciples of Christ.
Prayer: Loving God, we rely on you each day for your love so that we may love others. Continue to guide us every day to live this out in our actions and choices. Help us to celebrate all of your people and your creation. Help us to remember your ways. Amen.
