ALL FROM SPIT? Ever think “Why did I do that?” or “Been there, done that!”
I have no idea why I did it, but I remember dancing an Irish jig on the playground in grade school to a lullaby Bing Crosby once crooned. Results from Ancestry.com and 23 and Me confirmed in both tests that I am 100% European with Scandina  vian, British/Irish and German bloodlines dominating. My ancestors sure didn’t move around much!! I knew I was German and was told a great grandmother born in Ireland married a Danish sea captain-- so the tests corroborated suspicion. Is a fascination with history also passed through genes? Storytelling? Fear of heights? Hatred of eggs? Red hair? Our family is small. Neither of my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins or the 2 grandmothers I knew had red hair. Both tests provided access to more info, but 23 & Me gave more depth. A Neanderthal link? Wow!
