  1. School day

Third  edition of School Day was held on November 10th. This year IAPS members from three continents were part of it. Events in Italy, Germany, Croatia, Mexico, Nepal, Spain and Poland took place. Share your pictures and if you haven't yet reported your activity, please do so. Thank you all for participating and taking part in the IAPS outreach activities.

  1. PLANCKS

PLANCKS 2018 will be in Zagreb, Croatia, from the 11th to the 13th of May. Preliminaries will be held to decide what teams will represent their country. They are currently scheduled for late February/ early March. If you want to hold a preliminary please get in contact with our events manager and the Organising Committee of this year’s edition.

If your country is not holding a preliminary, you can still participate by registering a team or as an observer, when registration opens around December. Follow their facebook page to keep up with all the news. (facebook page link: https://www.facebook.com/plancks2018/to insert above).

  1. Subbie calls

Organisations such as IAPS cannot be run by just the committed EC. We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic members to help us organising all things IAPS. Current subbies are Finances, Members, PR/jIAPS, Education and Outreach, Events and IT. If one of these sounds interesting to you, please check out our website for more information.

  1. Science Outreach Grant deadline coming up

3rd of december sees the deadline for the thrilling Science Outreach Grant. IAPS is willing to award 3 sets of 350€ for outreach projects where students can make a real impact.

The grant is intended to encourage new projects initiation, existing projects development and forums and workshops for the exchange of knowledge. Check our website for more info on how to apply.

  1. IAPS Alumni Conference

The inaugural International Conference of Physics Alumni (ICPA) is set to take place alongside ICPS in Helsinki in 8th to 14th August. For info check out the website and their facebook page for up to date info.
