#OptOutside on Black Friday with Indiana State Parks!

Indiana State Parks is offering a Black Friday experience unlike any other sale you’d find at big-box retailers. Hoosiers can #optoutside to enjoy the outdoors with discounts and opportunities to win 2018 state park passes and other prizes. Outdoor gear retailer REI started the #OptOutside initiative in 2015, announcing it would close its stores on Black Friday to encourage people to experience nature instead of long lines at cash registers.

For details on prizes, discounts and a copy of the free park entry coupon, visit the Indiana State Parks Facebook Page:

Giving Tuesday - November 28th, 2017

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year. The Friends of Fort Harrison State Park will be participating in Giving Tuesday - stay tuned to our Facebook Page for details!
