On Friday November 10th, at West Tisbury library, Charlotte Rooney was presented a Bruins jersey from the young adult librarian Laura Hearn. The jersey was from the Boston Bruins, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners
(MBLC), and the Massachusetts Library System via their summer reading program.
“We want to thank you for participating and we want to thank you for being a Bruins fan,” Ms. Hearn said to Charlotte. “And, of course, we want to see you wearing this.”
We are so happy to have had one of our young readers win this fabulous contest!

"My name is Davin Tackabury and I am 16 years old. I go to the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School. From freshman year to now I have focused mainly on photography. I have always loved art growing up. I enjoyed drawing and painting from a young age, but I began to feel frustrated with the process of creating the ideas I had. With photography, I am able to convey images easier and appreciate the development of the concepts I want to bring."
