Art & Accessibility Tip #4: Inclusivity and Accessibility in Organizations

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a federal civil rights law designed to prevent discrimination and enable individuals with disabilities to participate fully in all aspects of society. The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) is committed to ensuring ADA compliance and advocates for full access to the arts. Organizations that receive funding from the OAC must be fully accessible and inclusive of everyone.

Did you know the Ohio Arts Council has several links on our website for quick accessibility tips for organizations? Just go to oac.ohio.gov/About/About-the-Council/Accessibility.

For more information about making your arts programming accessible, contact your Ohio Arts Council program coordinator at oac.ohio.gov/About/Staff-Directory, including OAC Accessibility Coordinator Kim Turner at kim.turner@oac.ohio.gov.
