Adopting a Room at the YWCA

The people of Saskatoon are coming together once again, in support of the community services and programs happening inside every room at the YWCA, through a charitable program called “Adopt a Room”.

Adopt a Room Holiday Campaign Kick-off

10:00am to 2:00pm, come and go style
Soup, buns and coffee served at noon (includes 1 vegan option)

With Adopt a Room, individuals and businesses are able to pledge a charitable gift and adopt one of several rooms at in the YWCA facility. The campaign is being promoted by 98COOL Radio as a way to involve your workplace, friends or family for a group gift. Held over the holiday season, the campaign raises much needed financial support for services provided year-long.

Last year’s Adopt a Room program made an extended impact well into the new year and made a difference for many women and families who turned to the YWCA when they were experiencing hardship.

“We are known for providing inclusive, wrap around services for women and families at many stages of their lives, said YWCA CEO Shannon Friesen.“The focus of our mission is the well-being of women, girls and families.”

Charitable gifts to Adopt a Room will accomplish a great deal: providing safe haven for women and families in crisis, counselling, employment supports, childcare, and wellness programs. Designated gifts are welcome.
