The Save Starlight initiative to resurrect the historic starlight bowl in Balboa Park is in the middle of collecting celebrity signatures on guitars to auction at its opening gala on December 2. CEO and Founder Save Starlight initiative joined GMSD Monday morning to talk more about how locals can get involved.

SAN DIEGO (NEWS 8) — An effort to revitalize the historic Starlight Bowl Amphitheater in Balboa Park is getting a big boost.

Before he died last month, Tom Petty and his band signed a guitar to help raise money for those trying to save the venue.

Serving as a prelude to Save Starlight's December Nights event. We are creating a contest running in tandem with the Guernsey's auction and ending the last night of December Nights (Dec 2nd). 


Take a guess at what will be the final winning bid for a chance to win a Stratocaster courtesy of Guitar Center Pro. Whoever guesses closest to the final amount wins.
