Our namesake, Johnny Appleseed was an animal lover and advocate on the frontier. In his honor we've partnered up with Humane Animal Rescue for a Thanksgiving Eve at the Cider House featuring vegetarian and vegan pizzas & more! Wednesday, Nov 22nd Proceeds benefit Humane Animal Rescue.
We’re upping the ante on the Scholastic book fairs of your youth. Bringing some of the brightest food and drink authors from around the country and region together for a Sunday brunch of talks, book signings, book shopping, and food and drink. Each author talk will be paired with a drink included in the $12 ticket!

We've been fielding many requests for the return of our Hopped Cider! We will have our first full batch available December 7, both in bottles for sale as well as on tap at the Cider House.
To make Dry Hopped Cider, we first made a traditional off-dry cider, selecting crisp and acidic apples to complement the floral and tropical fruit notes of the Mosaic, Amarillo and Centennial hops. The resulting cider is assertively hoppy without the bitterness of an IPA. Tasters will note tangerine, peach, papaya, melon, lemon and a distinct apple finish. 8% ABV.
Santa is coming to Threadbare Cider House on Saturday, December 9th! Be sure to come say Hi after picking up your Christmas tree at the Annual Winter Spectacular Tree Sale Wigle Whiskey Barrelhouse!

Join us in a new holiday tradition come to our Wassail Cider Wonderland--a huge all weather tent decked out with more than a dozen lit Christmas trees, mulled Cider cocktails, and beautiful holiday gifts from local artists and free activities for the whole family.

Help Threadbare Cider & Mead, The Buhl Foundation, and One North Side provide winter coats for students at the North Side's Perry High School. Gently used winter coats of all sizes and styles accepted.
As our thanks, our pastry chef will give you a warm, straight from the oven, chocolate chip oatmeal cookie for every coat donated.
