As Thanksgiving approaches, we have much to be grateful for. 2017 has been marked by devastating hurricanes, floods, earthquakes and wildfires. In late September, Hurricane Nate caused widespread flooding throughout Nicaragua, including in our library in Matagalpa. Just a few weeks later, wildfires ravaged Sonoma County, where our office is located and many of our volunteers and staff live.
Despite the destruction and hardship, we can't help but feel thankful and inspired. We have witnessed communities around the world come together to help those in need. Slowly but surely, the work of rebuilding is beginning.
Most of all, we are thankful for our kind volunteers and donors. Thank you for your support during these last few difficult weeks. Thank you for your generosity throughout the year, and for enabling students in Nicaragua to access quality education. Thank you for helping to improve cross-cultural understanding. And thank you for helping to build a brighter future for these children and communities.

Save the Date: Rescheduled Event

We are pleased to announce the date for our rescheduled annual fundraising event, which was postponed due to the Northern California wildfires.
The evening will include a three course gourmet meal and open wine bar, a silent auction, and games. During the inspiring program you will hear from local students about the impact of cross-cultural education in their lives, and from community members in Nicaragua about how a school has transformed their community.
New date: Saturday, January 27th, 2018
Time: 5:00 - 8:30 pm
Location: Hanna Boys Center (17000 Arnold Drive, Sonoma, CA).
