FALL FESTIVAL 2016

Highest Yoga Tantra Empowerments and Commentary to the Practices of Heruka Body Mandala and Vajrayogini

 with Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

“These special instructions on Heruka body mandala and Vajrayogini are most precious and the very essence of the Vajrayana path. They are like priceless jewels that I have received from my own Father, and now I’m giving these priceless jewels to you.”  -Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

This October 7-13, we have the special opportunity to receive the Highest Yoga Tantra empowerments and commentary to the practices of Heruka Body Mandala and Vajrayogini from Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab. This is the first time these empowerments have been given in North America since Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso granted them in 2003 in Toronto. More Information about the Festival Teachings

5 Reasons why attending the International Kadampa Fall Festival is easier than you think:

1. Toronto is easy to get to
Toronto’s airports are well connected internationally. Most international flights go through Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and some domestic and regional airlines, especially from the USA, fly into Billy Bishop Airport (YTZ).

2. The Festival Venue & Festival Hotel are very easy to get to
If arriving into Pearson International Airport
, the easily accessible and inexpensive Union Pearson Express train takes you to Union Station in around 25 minutes. Union Station is only a few minutes’ walk to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). Cost CAN$12 each way or CAN$9 each way with a PRESTO card. currency converter

From Union Station, it is just a quick ride on the Yonge-University Subway Line (line 1) to College station to get to the Chelsea Hotel.

If arriving into Billy Bishop Airport, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC) is just a 20 minute walk from the airport, or you can take the 509 Harbourfront Streetcar to Union Station. 3. Cheapest rates at the Festival Hotel
The exclusive official hotel is the Chelsea Hotel in the heart of downtown Toronto.

We are able to offer rates cheaper than available elsewhere online. These apply for up to 3 nights before and 3 nights after the Festival, so why not extend your stay.

To benefit from these rates, you must book your accommodation through the Festival website.

The Chelsea Hotel will be the Festival hub outside of session times, offering the full experience of our international Festival and many opportunities to meet and share experiences with our Kadampa family from around the world. Not only will you benefit from the cheapest available rates, you will also directly benefit the ITP.

The hotel is located near Yonge-Dundas Square. It is just a 30 minute walk or an 18 minute trip via the Yonge-University Line (line 1) to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC).

4. Efficient and inexpensive public transport
Whether you are travelling daily between MTCC and the Festival Hotel, or exploring the city, Toronto has an easy to understand, efficient and cheap public transport system (TTC), with linked subway, streetcar and bus networks. Check the TTC website for route planners, route maps and more…

The Google Maps Trip Planner on your computer or smartphone is an easy to use, up-to-the-minute tool that is fully integrated with the TTC schedule, and gives options for walking routes, public transport routes or Uber routes with prices.

5. A meaningful spiritual holiday with family and friends
Whether family and friends are attending the Festival, or vacationing in general, Toronto is home to an array of cultural and family attractions.

Toronto’s neighborhoods are home to some of the best dining in the world with dietary options and price ranges for everyone.

The Festival hotel was chosen due to its central downtown location and its family-friendly amenities.
