Note 1: Player Release

If you played for another association last year, we will need a Player Release before you register for the team; even if that was in a beginner class. This is a requirement from USA Hockey that says you are in good financial standing and/or have returned all the other association’s equipment. To get a release, simply email the Admin or Registrar of the other association and they should provide it to you within 24 hours. (Note: If you are double-rostering then you don’t need a Release). Then, submit the release to Adam Young, WWFHA Registrar

Note 2: WWFHA Dues Payment
This year WWFHA dues will be collected via SportNgin.
Once you select a team in the registration process, you will be required to make an initial down payment (first month's dues) and then be given 3 options for payment:
1. Pay in Full
     a. Pay online via SportNgin
     b. Pay via check and bring to the first practice (only check option)
2. Pay Monthly online via SportNgin either by:
     a. Monthly auto-debit
     b. Monthly electronic bill/invoice
Note: If you did not sign up and pay the $50 tryout fee, which is part of the season dues, you will be asked to do so.

Team Slush Fund payments will be handled through the team via the Slush Fund Manager.

Register Now for Beginner Hockey!

Registration is now open for Washington Wild Beginners – Hockey 1 and Hockey 2 classes.

Both sessions are twelve weeks, running from September 18 through December 18, minus two holiday weekends.

Focused On Development

Congratulations to the players that were selected for the 19U Rep Tier 2/AA after playing for the 19U Rep Tier 3/A Travel or 14U Rep team, as well as the players that made the 14u Rep Tier 2/AA team after playing for the 12U Rep Travel team last year!  Their hard work paid off!

Movement from a younger or house team to a Rep team is a common story of players in the WWFHA Washington Wild system. Today’s top players were once working hard to make it to the Rep level, including last year’s seniors moving on to play college hockey this coming season.

Top 19U Rep Tier 2/AA players like Mikayla Anderson and Lauren White, who are going on to play college hockey, spent 1-2 years on the 19U Rep Tier 3/A Travel team before making the premier team.

WWFHA is focused on development and players moving through the well-established Washington Wild system. WWFHA has a coaching philosophy which is grounded on the platform of WWFHA's focus on growth and development. Our mantra is 'focus on long term development, not short term wins.'

Our program is carefully crafted to develop players in the female game in preparation for high levels of hockey, with female learning styles and methodologies in mind. Short term success, such as win-loss records and similar stats, are secondary to game-by-game, month-by-month, season-by-season individual growth and development.

With over fourteen years as an organization and well over 100 years of combined experience in coaching and managing organizations, the WWFHA leadership team’s philosophy will stand the test of time and drive the campaign for growth and development of female hockey in the Pacific Northwest.

WWFHA Apparel Stores - Update

There are several WWFHA Apparel Stores, each with their own separate check-out.  Why is this?

The Washington Wild Bauer Track Suits and Shells are sold in a separate store because they were not offered by NIKE/LIDS, which has clothing apparel.

That is the same for the Washington Wild Hockey bags, which are from a local company.

The deadline for Bauer Team Apparel and Bags is this Sunday, August 14th. Delivery will be made to practices in September.

Another reason we have three different stores, each with their own check-out, is because there was a limit on the number of items we could offer (12) for the NIKE/Lids clothing apparel. Thus, we split the store by size offering: Youth, Women’s and Men’s sizes. Having three separate stores allows us to provide more size and color options.

In both cases we will take orders until August 14th and then your orders will be shipped to your home address!

SOLD OUT? –If you see something that says ‘Sold Out’ – it is only temporary. There is a real-time connection to the national NIKE/LIDS inventory and if you return later then the offering will be available once they restock.

Don’t delay! This Sunday August 14th is the deadline!

Volunteer Needed for Each Team

Each team will need parent-volunteers to fill the following roles: team manager, team treasurer, and jersey manager. We will support you as you ramp up!

Everyone will need to pitch in from time-to-time to help manage the scorekeeper’s box during home games. Other positions include stats manager, photographer, team party or travel coordinator.

WWFHA is also always looking for help on association special projects, or if you have professional expertise we could most likely use your guidance or help.

Please contact your coach if you are interested or email WWFHA.
