Our Noel McKenna exhibition will be closing on the 27 August.

At Ten Cubed we have had an exceptional number of people through our doors to see the Noel McKenna exhibition. With two weeks left make sure you come and see it.

Noel McKenna’s paintings depict the ordinary and unremarkable to reveal a simple beauty. Often the works have a sense of playfulness, frequently he captures a moment of whimsy and familiarity tempered with a hint of melancholy. McKenna is a master of painting, printmaking and ceramics. His dry sense of humour and personal perspective is present in all his work.
 

Melbourne based artist Alasdair McLuckie was the first artist to have an exhibition at Ten Cubed. Keeping up with tradition, he is now the first artist to have a second exhibition at our gallery. Ten Cubed is proud to present Alasdair's latest works from the Ten Cubed collection.

McLuckie’s works draw upon modernism and tribalism to create pieces that are quite unique. Combining the mediums of drawing, sculpture and craftwork he explores themes of process, ritual, mythology and primitivism. In this exhibition we will be able to see the development in concepts and ideas throughout his practice from 2013 to 2016.

Represented by Murray White Room in Melbourne and Mothers Tankstation in Dublin. Alasdair McLuckie’s artworks have been acquired by MONA, Artbank, Art & Australia and the Monash University Museum of Art. Accolades include the Art & Australia / Credit Suisse Private Banking Contemporary Art Award for 2012, the Veolia Primavera Acquisitive Award in 2011, and the 2008 City of Melbourne Young Artist Grant.
