Support halow this summer!
We have a very exciting opportunity to fundraise for halow through our Summer Skydive! Pictured right is halow buddy Kerry who had a fab time taking part in the exhilarating tandem skydive with Skyline last year. Want to take the plunge for halow? Contact Diane

Coming up, we have a great running challenge for the fitness fanatics out there! We are thrilled to be the charity beneficiary for the Three Counties Devil Run. Could you run 10K or 5K cross country at the Devil’s Punch Bowl in Hindhead on September 18th? Find out more

It was brilliant to have a team of 14 Customer Service Managers from various Santander bank branches volunteer with us for a day. Working with young people from A Reason to Get Up, Santander staff spent the morning helping to create craft products that will be used as decorations at halow's 10th Birthday Party in September. We were very excited to welcome back young people from National Citizen Service: The Challenge for another year! They treated the Building Futures Group to a sport session where young people came together to play fun group games. Want to know more about Building Futures? Click here
August has been a very busy month in the Social Activities calendar. We have given young people the opportunity to take part in theme park trips to Chessington and Thorpe Park, Castle Green Bowling, Llama Treks, Archery and more. Due to the amount of activities we offer we are always looking for volunteers! Become a volunteer

My halow story
"It seems like ages since I first moved in to my halow house through Supported Living. I live with great people who I am friends with which is really good. I have learnt a lot about living independently! Things like housework, learning to cook and what I have to do day after day have made me feel like I can achieve anything I set my mind to. The buddies who support me at home are really helpful and supportive when I need it the most. Living with this support has meant that I can do my own thing which is important. I love being in Supported Living!"

Inspiring story of the month: Chloe's Work Experience
We were delighted to have work experience student Chloe on board with halow for a jam-packed week. She had the opportunity to find out what it's like to work in the halow office, go to a social activity with our young people, and be Hector the halow bear for a day. See how she got on and find out her thoughts about doing work experience at halowRead more
Congratulations to the Peer to Peer girls and farewell Eileen
Congratulations to Evie, Sarah and Aimee who have completed the Peer to Peer programme and are now ready to take on the world! halow staff gathered in the office to watch the girls' end of year video project, after which they received their much-deserved certificates! Sadly, we said goodbye to Lead Volunteer Eileen after 4 wonderful years. Read more
Huge thanks to No Naked Walls Gallery Bramley who supported us through their stunning David Dipnall exhibition. We can now announce they raised a wonderful £685!
Thank you to the organisers of the Cheese and Chilli Festival. We had our own stand on an extremely hot weekend. A fun and busy time raising awareness for halow!
This month we said goodbye to Hannah, our amazing Fundraising Manager who has moved on to a new job in London. We would like to thank her for her dedication to our young people throughout her 4 years at halow. Good luck Hannah!
