Kazakhstan Identifies Barriers in TB Treatment and Develops Advocacy Guidelines

Kazakhstan has identified barriers in treating tuberculosis existing among target groups, and on their basis, appropriate advocacy guidelines were developed.

Overview of activities in the EECA related to transition planning

Considerable work is being done in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) on transition planning. Discussions about transitioning from Global Fund financing started even before grants under the new funding model were approved for funding.

From Policy to Practice: How the TB-HIV Response Is Working  

A new research report from ACTION Global Health Advocacy Partnership shows that while countries have taken steps in the right direction since 2014 to combat the deadly duo of TB and HIV, policy improvements have not all translated into changes at the facility level. Moreover, the burden to carry out TB-HIV activities still falls heavily on under-resourced TB programs.

От политики к практике: как протекает борьба с ТБ-ВИЧ  

Новый отчёт об исследовании, проведённом Партнёрством правозащитных организаций в сфере глобального здравоохранения ACTION, показывает, что в то время как с 2014 года страны предприняли шаги в правильном направлении по противодействию смертельному дуэту ТБ-ВИЧ, улучшения в политике не претворились в изменения на уровне учреждений. Кроме того, бремя поддержки основных мероприятий по противодействию ТБ-ВИЧ по прежнему вынуждены нести сталкивающиеся с дефицитом ресурсов программы по ТБ.

Roundtable organized by Moldovan Association of People Living with TB «SMIT», as part of Regional TB-REP Project

In Moldova, a working group was created to develop the advocacy strategy for smooth transition to the outpatient model of TB and MDR-TB treatment, and key messages for future advocacy campaign were developed.
