Tishkoff Attorneys Obtain Favorable Settlement In Insurance Coverage Dispute
Tishkoff PLC’s clients, a family of related trusts, limited liability companies and their principal, were insured under a liability insurance policy providing coverage for litigation defense expenses. Following Tishkoff PLC’s successful defense of multiple related lawsuits against its clients in Illinois and Virginia, the insurer denied coverage for portions of the clients’ defense expenses. Tishkoff PLC disputed the denial of coverage and, through aggressive settlement negotiations, Tishkoff PLC obtained a favorable settlement of $250,000 for its clients.

You rejoined Tishkoff PLC recently. Tell us about that!
When I first started at Tishkoff, it was my first full time job as an adult. I worked here for a little over three years, but wanted to venture out and try something in a different field. I tried working in the medical administration field, but I was drawn to come back to what felt like home. I couldn’t be happier to be back.

How has Tishkoff PLC changed?
The firm has its similarities to three years ago, but it has also made a lot of improvements. There has been remodeling, both interior and exterior, which looks great! There is also an increase in staff; we were a slightly smaller firm when I was here before. My favorite improvement is the wellness program for staff and attorneys which allows us to attend fitness class together twice a week. It really encourages living a healthy life style!

What makes you a successful paralegal/office manager?
I think having worked here before benefits me as an office manager, since I know what to expect. I also feel that my organizational skills and drive to be productive help me a lot. Every day I make a to-do list, and I get joy from checking tasks off the list.

Summer Recruiting at Law Schools
August is the big recruiting month to meet current law students and recruit for Tishkoff PLC's next summer associate(s). Will, Sarah, and Erin went to a Tiger's game networking event with Wayne State. Sarah also conducted on campus interviews (OCIs) at Wayne State and Michigan State. We remain excited about the potential summer associate candidates.
