CBH Communications Survey - You Responded, We Listened!
 

Dear Haverim,

Todah Rabah again to those of you who participated in the CBH Communications Survey this Spring.  Receiving your responses has provided us with very useful information upon which to evaluate the current status of our communications with you, as well as to consider modifications and enhancements.   

Staff members have analyzed the feedback that you offered, and wish to share with you the following information and results. 
               
Improvements coming soon to the Weekly e-tone:

• The headlines at the beginning will be abbreviated in favor of a hyperlinked sorting system, allowing readers to more easily access categories of news and announcements of interest (i.e. – Shabbat schedules, Religious School, Adult Education, Israel Programming, etc.).
• Access to weekly Torah notes will be restored.
• Birthdays will be eliminated in order to address overall length of the publication.
• All changes will be considered to be “pilot programs” to be re-evaluated after approximately six months.

• Overhaul of most content to ensure accessibility and accuracy of information most useful to current CBH partners on an on-going basis.
• Re-structuring to make site more welcoming and reflective of our community for potential new CBH partners.
• Improvement of donation and online payments functions.

• Usual schedule of periodic e-tone features

1. Rabbi’s message –first Thursday of each month, beginning with August 2016.
2. Religious School/Keshet/Youth update – weekly during the school year.
3. Gan Haverim update – first Thursday of each month.
4. Board of Directors meeting notes – second or third Thursday.
5. CBH History Fact of the Month – last Thursday of each month.
6. Donations – first Thursday of the month, for the month prior.
7. Yahrzeits – weekly

• E-tone hyperlink functionality  The way you access your email may impact your ability to use the navigational, informational and email links embedded within the e-tone.  These features are not uniformly supported by all email clients or devices.  For example, Yahoo email users may see a slightly different version of the e-tone than Gmail users.  CBH does not have any control over functionality once the email is delivered to your inbox.
• Appearance of dates and times when viewing the e-tone on a smartphone or tablet device  Dates and times automatically will appear in a light blue font, signaling your ability to add this information to your personal calendar.  CBH cannot prevent your smartphone or tablet from displaying dates and times in this font color.
• The CBH online calendar offers additional in-depth information beyond the titles of most of the events and activities listed.  Click on the titles to access these details.  To access the calendar directly, go to www.BetHaverim.org/events.  This detailed information also appears daily along the right-hand side of the www.BetHaverim.org home page.
