You can feel it. August is here. September and back to school are just around the corner. School supplies are being collected. New shoes and "school clothes" are being tried on. Teachers are planning lessons. Soon, another year of learning adventures will greet students at Maxfield School.
One thing is different this year: After 33 years of "new year" excitement as a teacher, Nettie Monroe has retired. Even though she’s not heading back to a classroom this year she’s is still dedicated to working with you to help the students and teachers at Maxfield.
Nettie & Friends will continue to help meet the needs of the Maxfield School community by supporting students and teachers.
We’re already planning for the annual sale at the Egg & I in December.
We’re looking for volunteers to help with that sale. You can make things for the sale, volunteer to help on opening night, to help replenish stock during the month of the sale, you can help us publish the sale to new people who are interested in helping students learn. We’re looking for people who are interested in helping guide the organization and its activities by working as a board member.
