The RDWA is calling for nominations for five vacant positions on the Board.

We are seeking nominations from people with a commitment to the charter, values and principles of the RDWA, and a willingness and capacity to contribute to the principles of sound governance of our organisation.

RACGP advice regarding guaranteed GPE outcome for 2017 semester 1 enrolment

The RDWA advises that GPs on the existing RACGP General Practice Experience Pathway who wish to enrol in the 2017 Semester 1 Fellowship examinations are required to submit a completed application for assessment of General Practice Experience to the College by Friday 7 October 2016. Applications submitted to the College after this date will not be guaranteed an outcome in time to enrol.

2016 Community Achievement Awards - Nominations closing soon

RDWA is again a proud sponsor for this year’s Community Achievement Awards. We invite you to nominate into our category, the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency Rural Community Health and Wellbeing Award, or any of the other eight categories on offer.

The Awards highlight, acknowledge and reward the valuable contribution that businesses, individuals and community groups in SA are making towards building a stronger and better local community to live in.

There is just over one week left for nominations in the 2016 SA Community Achievement Awards. Nominations will close Wednesday 17 August 2016 with winners announced at a Awards Gala Presentation Dinner on Friday 25 November 2016.

Atrial Fibrillation Management: Time for a paradigm shift in our approach - Eyre Peninsula

Professor Prash Sanders, the Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at the Royal Adelaide Hospital will provide an update on atrial fibrillation (AF) management including the importance of risk factor modification to improve systems and outcomes for patients with AF. Also covered are the best practice protocols in dedicated clinics.

Register now for RESP - Kadina 9-10 September

The RDWA is pleased to host the upcoming Rural Emergency Skills Program (RESP) workshop in Kadina. The Port Augusta event is being held Friday evening 29 July and all day Saturday 30 July 2016. For GPs interested in attending the Kadina workshop it is being held on Friday evening 9 September and all day Saturday 10 September 2016.  Visit RESP for further information on the program and application details.
