The Toucan Release just flew away from the nest

The July regular monthly release is here. All Dynamics Mobile Geo Services users are already using it. We've introduced a new Key Performance Indicators report and made several improvements in the Live Monitor again.
We also started to build up the user management area starting with several simple steps ,which will allow us to introduce Multi Factor Authentication, Single-Sign-On experience and Active Directory integration.

Live Monitor updated totals display, Zoom-in and Instant Messaging feature

Up-Time Display : The totals display on top shows the number of the events, the number of the mobile devices detected and the total amount since the Live Monitor was opened on the screen. Starting from this release, it also shows the Up-Time in terms of hours and minutes since the monitor was opened on the screen. It will be reset at midnight automatically.

Web Browser Refresh: This release allows the user to refresh the web browser ( by hitting F5 ) and still having the totals properly displayed on top - e.g. the totals are not lost after refresh. The totals will be only cleared out automatically at midnight.

Zoom Out: Whenever the user clicks over a event , it will display the event on the map and event details are popped up. We introduced a ZOOM-IN button, allowing the user to quickly zoom-in the map with a single click.

Instant Messaging: The Event details popup allows the user to send a simple text message to the mobile device. It will be pushed and displayed into Dynamics Mobile application on the mobile device.
Note that it only works with Dynamics Mobile Core App v.2.123 and later.

Key Performance Indicators Report

The report allows the user to quickly see a set of important numbers for the entire fleet , division or channel.
The user may fitter the reports by mobile application, date range and device group.

It shows the following indicators:

Amount: Displays the total amount in thousands for the given filter

Transactions : Shows the number of the mobile transactions

Active Devices: Shows the number of the active devices - e.g. devices having at least one activity for the given filter

Visits: Includes the number of the unique addresses visited

Route Compliance: Shows the overall compliance in percentage. It allows the manager to have a quick sight if the fleet is serving the planned customers for the given period.

Geo Compliance: Displays the percentage of the actually visited customers based on the GPS coordinates reported by the mobile devices in the field.

User Account Management

The users have better tools to manage their accounts. The new functionality allows administrators to see the list of all linked accounts e.g. all supervisor accounts within the organization. This is done by clicking over the e-mail on top-left of the web site. It will open the account details page. This feature is quite simple , but essential in order for us to be able to introduce our planned security improvements like MFA and Single-Sign-On (SSO) via Active Directory.

New Home Page

Dynamics Mobile web site has a new home page now. It is mobile-optimized and we will upgrade the look and feel of all other pages incrementally in the following months to provide better mobile experience.

You can still find the LOGIN button at the top of the page.

New Videos Section

We introduced a new video section. It contains tutorial and guidance videos , regarding the usage of Dynamics Mobile Geo Services.

Just click over the HELP section on top and Voilà!
