The aim of the panel discussion is to challenge mainstream assumptions about and approaches to diversity of thinking.

Juliet Bourke leads Deloitte Australia's Diversity and Inclusion Consulting practice and co-leads the Leadership practice. Her latest book, entitled ‘Which two heads are better than one?: How diverse teams create breakthrough ideas and make smarter decisions’, helps us understand how to systematically create diverse thinking and take team performance to the next level. She has over 25 years' experience in human capital, management and law. Juliet works with Executives and global organisations to improve workplace performance through cultural change, focussing on D&I, leadership and culture. Juliet also spoke on the topic of “How to be smarter and make better choices” earlier this year at a TEDxSouthBank event. |

Saba Vasefi is an Iranian-Australian academic, feminist filmmaker, poet and human rights activist. She is the director of the Sydney International Women’s Poetry & Arts Festival, Asylum Seekers Centre Ambassador and Ambassador of Refugee Council of Australia for Refugee Week. She was the recipient of an Edna Ryan Award and the Premier's Multicultural Community Medal, Arts & Culture.
At twenty-four, Saba became a lecturer at the prestigious Shahid Beheshti University in Iran, but after four years was banned from teaching due to her activism against capital punishment. She fled Iran when her life was at risk, after she made a documentary about child execution. Since her arrival in Australia, Saba’s passion and commitment to human rights has continued. Saba has made a number of internationally acclaimed documentaries including her latest film, Beyond the Father’s Shadow. She has also spoken about women’s and children’s issues at the UN, Amnesty International, and at numerous universities around the world. |

Dominic McGann is the Chair of Partners at McCullough Robertson, with over 30 years’ experience in commercial law. He has built an enviable reputation in the mining and resources sector as an authority on native title and cultural heritage, land tenure, project operation and corporate strategy. |
