Welcome to Disability Loop

A good way to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Hello <<First Name>>,

For those of you who have seen any of our recent eNews', you'll know that we have are delivering NDIS workshops.

The workshops are split into two different types:

  1. NDIS Understanding workshops - train the trainer style, so that you can deliver NDIS workshops directly to people with disability and families
  2. NDIS Opportunities workshops - for senior management and Board members of community organisations, to help you move smoothly through the 'transition to full Scheme'

These workshops are free if your organisation meets the eligibility criteria of the project; that is small community organisations who provide support in the form of information, peer support and advocacy to people with disability and their families. These are typically disability specific organisations, advocacy agencies and unfunded community groups.

If your organisation does not meet the eligibility criteria, you are still more than welcome to attend our NDIS Understanding workshops. In this case, there is a fee of $250+GST per person per session.

Please contact us before registering if you are not sure if your organisation is eligible to attend the free workshops.

To see other workshops now and in the future, visit our events page.

For now, check out the news articles below to find out what we have planned for Hobart.

We hope you find our website and eNews useful, helpful, and easy to use. We always welcome your feedback.

Hobart NDIS Understanding workshops

The NDIS Understanding series are ‘Train the trainer’ workshops that provide the information and resources organisations need to inform people with disability and families about the NDIS. These are particularly important now that the ‘Participant Pathway’ has changed with the ‘transition to full Scheme’ in July 2016.

These workshops will proivide you with the knowledge and materials needed to take back to your own community so that you can then run your own NDIS Understanding workshops for people with disability and families.

Hobart NDIS Opportunities workshops

The NDIS Opportunities series have been developed to resource and assist small community organisations as they navigate the significant changes the new market environment brings.

These workshops are free if your organisation meets the eligibility criteria of the project; that is small community organisations who provide support in the form of information, peer support and advocacy to people with disability and their families. These are typically disability specific organisations, advocacy agencies and unfunded community groups.

These workshops are ideal for Hobart based CEOs, senior managers and Board members, to help build the capacity of their organisations. Two people from each eligible organisation can attend, but will have to register seperately.
