We've "Moved"

We haven't moved physically, but our website and email addresses have "moved". You can now visit our website at www.viennabc.org - an easy to remember web address for the church. You can also reach all of the staff using their first name @viennabc.org - austin@, ginny@, cj@, cindy@, martha@, making it easier to find us on email. All of our old web addresses and email address work as well, so don't worry if you send it to the old address.

Special Concert

In their second season, the Festival Singers of Northern Virginia will perform a concert titled "An All-American Summer" at Vienna Baptist Church. Please join us at 7:30 p.m on Thursday, August 25, in the Worship Room for an evening of music about our summer vacations. The concert is free and open to the public.

Fall Kickoff
Potluck Party!

September 11, 4-7 p.m.

A new school year is about to begin so join us for some live music, fun, and food hot off the grill. Come to hang out with old friends and make new ones as we spend time together in celebration of a new year. Weíll meet on the church lawn near Marshall Road at 4:00 p.m. and open up our playground to families. This will be a community- wide event including VBC church members and VBCC families so youíre welcome to invite friends and neighbors to join you. Visit our website at www.viennabc.org/picnic or call the church office to RSVP and let us know what you plan to bring to the potluck!

Lamb Center Thanks

Thanks to the generosity of our congregation and VBS attendees, over 100 grocery bags of supplies were delivered to the Lamb Center. They were overjoyed to receive such a large contribution. All of the supplies will benefit the guests of the Lamb Center, who receive many services, such as counseling, meals, showers, laundry, haircuts, and Bible studies.

Thank you to the many contributors and those who helped on a hot day to get the supplies to the center.

Thank You, VBC

On behalf of City Gate and Richardson Dwellings we would like to thank you for the wonderful hospitality that you demonstrated to our staff, our youth and the president of the Richardson Dwellings Resident Council. We had a wonderful time everyday from the time we arrived until the last moments spent with you at Lost River. This camping trip could not have been possible without the Spirit guiding and directing our hearts toward the mission that God wanted to achieve with our two organizations working together.

This summer the theme for the Richardson Dwellings camp was Camp-on-the-Go. The wonderful VBC volunteers lead loads of fun activities, games and hiking trips. Many youth were excited about having attended the campfire and enjoyed all the singing and roasting of marshmallows during our trip. We love all of you for the wonderful heavenly hands that came, helped with donations, sent your love and, most all, your time to make this a great camping trip for the youth at City Gate. Again, thank you to the Vienna Baptist Church, Pastor Almaguer and the fantastic mission team.

Save the Date

VOICE Call to Action Event

Do you want to make a difference in our local community? Are you passionate about helping VBC be a leader in the Town of Vienna? Then join us on Sunday, Oct. 16th at Oakton High School (2900 Sutton Road, Vienna, VA) as we gather with 1,500 neighbors from over 40 institutions to commit to work together in building a better future for everyone who calls Northern Virginia home. State and local elected officials will address our concerns about quality schools, affordable housing and creating safe communities. We will challenge our officials to lead on VOICE's bold issue agenda that has grown out of our listening sessions. We hope you will join us to stand with our neighbors and make positive change.

Women's Fellowship

Due to the Labor Day holiday, the September meeting of the Women's Fellowship will be on September 12. If you have any questions, or wish to be involved with this small group ministry, please contact Nancy Curtis.
