We ARE in Spain! We are excited to report that we arrived August 23 in Madrid and have been having an eventful week. We've moved into our temporary apartment (6 months), found many of the grocery stores, worshipped in ABWE's newest church plant in Torres de la Alameda where we will be for the first year, registered as residents and met several friendly neighbors. It might not sound like a lot, but each small event seems to take quite some time! We also are so grateful for the welcome by our new church and the potluck we had our first Sunday. Thursday we go to try and register our children in school. Pray for us because so much depends on where they have availability. But it would help us a lot if it was local.
We are thankful to have been able to visit many family members and friends this summer before we left and to say good-byes. Obviously the hardest part is leaving so many of those we love.
We had a garage sale before we left and sold most of our belongings. We also had things donated so we were able to make $1600 to help with the costs of setting up a new home in Spain.
We are very thankful for the support of those around us! We are so thankful for the continued partnerships and support. We are humbled by the longevity thus far as well as patience.
