Existing on 60’s pop music, 70’s punk and beer, Black Heart Breakers are a raw sonic power that only comes around so often. Clinton Hoy caught up with the lads to learn a bit more about what's in store. read on >

Gabrielle Flanagan has captivated audiences across the region with her powerful yet sweet style. The talent is unmistakeable and the chance to witness one of the region's most promising talents is unmissable. Currently working on her debut album, we couldn't be happier to have her return to the L4L stage in August.

Prepared to be mesmerised as the booming tenor of Brandon Troutman fills the room at Lust for Live. Weaving intricate riffs and heartfelt true life lyrics with an intense song-craft Brandon is a massive supporter of live music in Dubbo and one of the finest talents to grace the L4L stage. Some may know his voice from local prog rockers Mannequin but don't think that his solo performances are any less intense.

August will also the L4L debut of the Johnny Wood Trio. Johnny Wood is a dedicated local musician who has been providing high-level entertainment to Dubbo pub goers for years. He performs acoustic or electric, solo and with his band, showing a versatility in styles that has led to much appreciation on the local scene.

We can't wait to see what Johnny and the band have in store.

There are a plethora of exciting things happening in the local music scene over September and October.

In September we have our eyes on "Rock the Bank" when Sydney L4Lers Black Heart Breakers and the Iron Horses will be hitting the Old Bank Restaurant along with Fox Company. Grab your tix now.

In October, we are pleased to be supporting the Dream Festival to feature local original music talent throughout the festival program - stay tuned for more news on that front. Artlands will also be featuring local and regional musos - check out the Artlands Festival events program now and line some up.

With so much great music happening around town, we're going to take a spell from our regular Lust for Live event until Saturday November 5, when we'll be back with another killer line-up of local and imported talent.

Don't forget the Christopher Dess fundraiser this Sunday 21 August at the Dubbo RSL - a good cause with some great music - grab some tix and get along to see Jason Owen, Jade Martin Band - JMB, Green River, The JJ's Band and Pete Riley.
