I can't believe how fast the last 5 weeks flew by; I wish I could've visited the Midwest as well as other parts of California, but I was in a rush to get home to Sarah and Timothy. Among the many many highlights was a bucket list moment made possible by the pro-pastor-surfer* Randy, who took me on my very first surfing experience. I'm happy to announce that I actually stood up for a few seconds on the massive 2-foot waves of Seal Beach; Randy can teach! I could see why people surf, and I can't wait till my next lesson. when I'm 50 years old. Or, I'll move from Bangkok to Phuket (pronounced poo-ket, like how Thailand is pronounced Tie-land).
I'll leave SoCal next week, on Sep 14, the 40th anniversary of my first arrival at Thailand with my parents in 1976. *He's a pro-pastor but i don't think he actually has sponsors for surfing yet. [Updated Furlough Schedule]
