Rooted in communities across Scotland and connected to an extensive network of creative individuals and industries, The Bothy Project’s mission is to design and build a network of contemporary bothies across Scotland, designed specifically for creative residencies. Bringing together sustainable materials and natural building techniques with pioneering ideas in architecture and design, The Bothy Project formed in 2011 by artist Bobby Niven, is one of Scotland’s most innovative, people-led architecture and design initiatives of recent years. The Bothy Project aims to become a major contributor to the cultural landscape of Scotland.
The Bothy Circle is a new patron group formed to provide a platform for individuals, who share our passion for the arts and the outdoors, to support The Bothy Project's core activity to offer artists, writers and researchers residencies in our network of off-grid bothies.
