Flooding Victim's in Louisiana-Update

Please continue to pray for the victims of flooding in East Baton Rouge, Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa Parishes.  Thank you Caffin Avenue International and New Orleans East Seventh-day Adventist Churches for your donations of new and slightly used clothes.

The following items are needed ASAP:  monetary funds, non-perishable food items, baby wipes and disposable diapers, linen, adult disposable diapers, slightly used or new clothing/shoes, new underwear, and bottled water. Please place these items in a box; for safety and health reasons, we prefer clothing not to be placed in plastic bags.  If you are in the area, you may take your donations to the Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church (located at 4555 Fairfields Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70802) or to the Martin Luther King Christian Academy (4295 Prescott Ct., Baton Rouge, LA 70805); this school belongs to the Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church. There are about five families sheltering at the school temporarily.  Consider the road closures in Baton Rouge before you travel; find a complete list at https://brgov.com/dept/dpw/traffic/closures.asp

You may also bring food items to the Westbank Seventh-day Adventist Church (2401 General Meyer Ave., New Orleans, LA 70114) on tomorrow, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 between the hours of 2:00 - 8:00 p.m.  The Adventist Community Services (ACS) team at Westbank is working to get transportation to Baton Rouge in effort to transport these items on Thursday morning. We are in desperate need of someone to volunteer their trucks and vans to transport the donated items. Your eyes, ears and hands are needed.  If there are any needs out there, if you wish to volunteer or if you would just like more information, please contact:
