New Hope's Garden - Reaping the Harvest
Check out some of the beautiful vegetables that our teens from The Squad pulled from their garden. They've been tending this garden carefully all summer, and its finally bearing fruit.
We're also seeing other New Hope Programs growing and bearing fruit.
New Hope's First U.S. Citizenship Class!
New Hope held its first U.S. Citizenship Class this summer, with 3 students preparing for the exam. Our students feel inspired and strongly committed to achieving their dreams of American citizenship! They didn't see this as a possibility before they came to New Hope!
New Arabic-Speaking Teacher for ESL
This fall, we're starting an ESL Class for our Arabic-speaking students, in addition to the classes we have for our Spanish-speaking students. This will help us provide a more welcoming environment for our Arabic-speaking students and help us to get to know one another better.
New Hope at Global Leadership Summit (Thanks, TD Bank!)
New Hope staff and the Women of Hope Steering Committee attended the "
Global Leadership Summit," thanks to an educational grant that we received from the TD Bank Foundation.
We attended a two day seminar broadcast to over 120,000 people world-wide, and got to hear about leadership & faith from Melinda Gates, Bill Hybels, Alan Mullaly and other prominent business leaders.
We all came back pumped after the experience and are already implementing new strategies within our daily lives.
