Greetings after eight months!
We've been extremely busy at Pine Wind Music this year, teaching school, composing new music, performing many times in many places, continuing to sell our fifteen albums and plan new ones... and we're glad to be back in touch with you through these newsletters!
The five potential new recordings we're aiming for at this point are
1) new interpretations of classic hymns and
2) our take on great Gospel hymns;
3) new original compositions on nature themes;
4) a fourth holiday album of mostly dulcimer solos and duets; and
5) Baroque transcriptions and interpretations.
Hopefully the studio recording process for one or more of these will proceed in earnest soon! We'll let you know of the progress we'll be making on these.
Our website has been completely overhauled this year by Hansel Consulting, and it's now optimized for smartphones. You might want to look it over at www.timothyseaman.com, browsing through new blog posts, etc. As before, you can order CDs or download albums there at a reasonable price. (One alert, though: the physical CD form of Incarnation is currently out of print and is unavailable, but we're working on producing a special new edition --- more on that in a blog post soon!)
This week's news includes the beginning of Timothy's second year teaching music at the exceptional Providence Classical School, in Williamsburg, Virginia, as well as performances at Shenandoah National Park on August 25, the actual 100th anniversary of the National Park Service! Of course, he'll be playing many pieces from his several National Park themed albums, and especially from Here on This Ridge, for Shenandoah National Park itself.
We plan to be more consistent in sending out newsletters in the time to come. And we hope to see you at a performance this year! Many blessings ---
