Tableware Wear Where?
Opening tonight at 6pm
Exhibition runs Fri 19 Aug - Sat 27 Aug
Free entry
Tableware Wear Where? is the 44th annual exhibition of ceramic art staged by the Tasmanian Ceramics Association (TCA).
Tableware is the dishes or dishware used for setting a table, serving food and dining. It includes cutlery, glassware, serving dishes and other useful items for practical as well as decorative purposes. The quality, nature, variety and number of objects at the table will differ according to culture, religion, diners, cuisine and occasion.
The TCA invited members to explore this playful and open concept of tableware and discover the limitless possibilities of what Tableware Wear Where? means to them.
Tableware Wear Where? opens 6pm, Thursday 18 August. This free exhibition runs until Saturday, 27 August

procession
Opening 6pm Thurs 1 Sep
Exhibition runs Fri 2 Sep - Sat 24 Sep
Free entry
Embark on a journey into the unknown. “procession” is an exploration of a process-based approach to art practice.
Process-based practice is a journey into not-knowing. With no known outcome and no predetermined idea of a destination, these eleven artists have undertaken a series of creative excursions and investigations. Like all journeys these have been laced with hazards and dislocation, with dead-ends and false leads, excitement and fresh horizons.
Exhibiting artists: Christl Berg, Irene Briant, Lauren Black, Ruth Hadlow, Diane Perndt, Chantale Delrue, Morag Porteous, Marinelle Basson, Janelle Mendham, Penny Carey-Wells, Rosemary O’Rourke
