This Week at HPUC

This summer, Missions and Social Concerns is reaching out again to share the joy of learning with our neighbors at the St. Martin De Porres Center on 64th & Woodlawn, a safe and nurturing place for women and their children to recover from substance abuse and homelessness. There are 6 students in residence who will be returning to school this fall, 2 children in grade school and 4 adults completing their GEDs.

We ask you to support their readiness to go back to school by providing cash (or check) donations to our church office. Funds will be used to purchase back packs and school supplies for the students, and on Sunday, August 21 the congregation will be invited to sign notes of encouragement to the students to accompany the backpacks.
