Carol Lefebvre Workshops
The dust has barely settled I can hear you say... and it's true, you've probably just got back into the swing of things at work after our HLA PD Day in Sydney less than a month ago but, it’s never too early to plan ahead for the next workshop - so hold these dates in your diaries when Carol Lefebvre, back by popular demand, will be at a location near you.
We are especially pleased that Carol has agreed to visit some regional cities to promote equity of access to training opportunities for HLA members. Workshops will be aimed at either librarians or researchers.

MOOCs & Online Training
“Webinar “Putting the Pieces Together: A Librarian & Disaster Response” Librarians across the globe are involved in providing health information in disasters and public health emergencies. However, a number of those librarians take their interest a step further and participate directly in disaster preparedness and response efforts. We have featured several of these dedicated information professionals in previous webinars. This month, meet another one of those librarians who have found ways to get more involved in working with the disaster community. Mary White, Global Public Health Librarian at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, discussed her experience on disaster response teams in addition to her role providing consultation, training, and research support for the students, faculty, and staff affiliated with the School.”
New article discussion starting soon. Further information.
