Are You Interested in the Future of Training in Your Industry?
We would like to highlight a few points that the British Florist Association Training and Education Group do on your behalf:-
  • We work with City & Guilds to help develop the training standards that are used in our Floristry Colleges
  • We have obtained funding and written and published the new Professional Floristry Training Manual that is used in conjunction with all our training and competitions, in partnership with the Society of Floristry Training Fund.
  • We run the majority of Floristry competitions in the UK i.e Chelsea, Worldskills, UK Florist of the Year and the many competitions at the Floristry Trade event FleurEx.
  • We have set up the Institute for Professional Florists to endorse their skills and get public recognition for the Industry
We are about to put in a bid for the Trailblazer Apprenticeship in floristry and this needs you BECAUSE this apprenticeship is to be written by employers for employers.
If you would like to be involved either on the steering group or as part of a virtual group please let us know.   This is an opportunity for you to have your say about the quality and type of training you would like to see in your shop – you do not need to be a BFA member, however, we would like to think that after you see all the work that we do, you would want to join and support us!
