We were very blessed to have 5 mission teams come in this summer. Because of all the events we never found time to do a monthly update, so this edition will cover updates from June and July.
The teams did a fabulous job and we are eternally grateful for the time they allowed us to make connections with residents at Lakota Pointe and Meadow Ridge. There were 9 days of Backyard Bible Club at Meadow Ridge and 6 days at Lakota Pointe. They hosted 2 block parties at Meadow Ridge and 3 block parties at Lakota Pointe. There were 2 evenings where snow cones and popcorn were served at Meadow Ridge and the teams played games with the kids. They helped with the lunch program at Meadow Ridge for 3 days. A car wash was scheduled for both apartment complexes but because of rain only the residents at Meadow Ridge got their cars washed. The teams prayerwalked and picked up trash at both locations. Southside Baptist in Covington, Kentucky came and did a mini festival with prizes. FBC Selmer brought along some folks to do eye testing, blood pressure checks and blood sugar testing. They also had a team that installed security lights at the office at Meadow Ridge. Trace Creek Baptist Church had a team that came and put street signs at Meadow Ridge. Prior to these signs there were not street signs within the complex. The P2 team did an exceptional job playing games and connecting with the kids. Riverview Baptist helped us with our first ever BYBC at Meadow Ridge and through that we realized that mornings were not a good time to hold BYBC! When all was said and done we registered 98 children at Meadow Ridge for BYBC and 54 children were registered at Lakota Pointe! We were blown away with the number of children God blessed us with this summer. During the block parties, festival, car wash and mini block parties we had nearly 50 adults register for our gift card giveaways and we received contact information from 10 other adults who said we could contact them for small group. We are in the process of trying to continue weekly/monthly ministry (small group, discipleship, core group and chapel at Heritagespring) and following up with the many contacts we have made. We pray that many will begin to attend the small group and souls will be saved! Please pray for us as we try to tackle this huge endeavor.

Heritagespring of West Chester
We always look forward to worshipping with the sweet residents at Heritagespring. In June we averaged 43 with Riverview Baptist's song service and 2 chapel services. Everyone had a wonderful morning praising the Lord at the song service. Since this team came last year several of them had some sweet fellowship with residents they had met the year before. We absolutely love that Riverview Baptist and Abundant Life share a great passion for working with senior adults. You can imagine our excitement that morning when John, a resident there for rehab, prayed to receive Christ! We went later that day to take him a Bible and pray with him about an upcoming surgery. The following day we went to see about baptism because he had expressed a desire to be baptized, but he had been released by Heritagespring. Unfortunatly we had not got his phone number since John had no idea he was being released that quickly. We are praying that God will allow our paths to cross again.
In July we averaged 35 and have been blessed to have Dot playing the piano for us and her grandson, Dylan help us with getting residents to and from chapel.
Pray for the residents at Heritagespring. Many of them are lonely, some have poor health and most likely there are several who don't know the Lord. We pray that we can share the hope of Christ with them so they will be reconciled with God before it's too late.

Meadow Ridge and North Pointe
We are so happy with the efforts that were put into Meadow Ridge this summer. We invested more time at this complex than Lakota Pointe because we are more established at Lakota Pointe. Last year was our first time doing anything at Meadow Ridge. We had yet to do a Backyard Bible Club and were looking forward to having that opportunity this year. We were amazed at the number of children we were able to register for backyard Bible club. We have a great deal of follow-up to do at this location before we resume small group gatherings. As mentioned earlier in the help needed column of this newsletter, we are in great need for folks to volunteer for childcare at both Meadow Ridge and Lakota Pointe. Please consider helping us out in this area so we might proclaim the gospel to those living in these multihousing units.
Here are are some of the pictures from the various events held in June and July at Meadow Ridge.

Support our Ministry
We appreciate ALL support for the ministry, we can't do it without the help of others. If you are able to financially support us we would be eternally grateful!!
You can support our ministry in three different ways:
PRAYING
A praying partner commits to praying specifically for my wife and I, our ministry, and our multi-housing residents. Prayer support is vital for us as we serve on the field!
PARTICIPATING
A participating partner commits to becoming involved personally in our ministry. For example, your church may want to send mission teams to assist us or seek to mobilize individuals within your church to be sent as short or long term missionaries as part of our planting team.
PROVIDING
A providing partner commits to supporting our ministry financially. All funds will be handled and deposited by our NAMB strategic partner, Lakota Hills Baptist Church in West Chester, Ohio. All donations are tax deductible. Please make checks payable to Lakota Hills Baptist Church. Be sure to include "Allen Lawless" on the memo line.
